Kids won't want to miss a day of this year's After School Program. Our fun ASP team has an
exciting year planned. Each day will be packed with special projects, crafts, mini field trips,
gym time and lots more! Video and recreational games will be available daily along with the
following new specials:
How many games can you master? Play as many different games as you can every other Tuesday and
by the end of December you'll earn your offical Gamemaster Certificate. Never say 'I don't know
how to play' again!
Your time and talents are valuable! What you have to offer is always appreciated by someone.
Find out who...volunteer! We may stack wood, clean a snowy sidewalk, walk a dog or even stage a
puppet show or play in a nursing home. What helpful project is waiting for you? (Parents please
note: participants will be away from TYC until 4:30 every Friday unless we hear otherwise from
you. Trips depart 3:30.)
Commemorate the Grand Opening of the Sealife Center this Spring by contributing to the Quilt
the ASP will be constructing every other Monday throughout the year. Guest needlecrafters will
be assisting us in learning new techniques for creating lasting memories and lifelong skills.
Field trips and treks. Explore tidepools, pick berries, hike trails, ski, skate, tour facilities
and places of interest. (Parents please note: participants will be away from TYC until 4:30
every Friday unless we hear otherwise from you. Trips depart 3:30.)
Play the Lion King, Toy Story and Pocohontas Activity Packs or do your school project research
with the Explorapedia, encyclopedias, and other reference CDs. Staff available for computer
activities and homework help.
LEAD! LEARN! EARN! Serve as a member on the Kid Council. Help develop and host special events
for the community and the Teen & Youth Center! Elementary grades 4th, 5th and 6th are encouraged
to join the Kid Council. Applications available in the TYC office.
