Something of the gray mind gripping horror which crawls out of the rain.
Especially todays rain which is so penetrating.
The buildings stand in it as though unable to reach it.
It reaches them.
And the people wait in folorn lines for the busses.
umbrellas dripping, their eyes staring into the neutral gauze of the air.
The colors of the umbrellas and the busses leak away into the puddles on the sidewalks and the streets.
The dull rain whispers of the rooftops, murmers of the bridges spans, and drippingly bids,
